Civmec as part of the Amec Foster Wheeler Civmec JV (ACJV), has been issued a Notice to Proceed by the Gruyere Project Joint Venture (a 50:50 unincorporated joint venture between Gold Roads Resources Limited and Gruyere Mining Company Pty Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Gold Field Limited) for an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract for the Gruyere Gold Project, located within the Yamarna greenstone belt, approximately 200 kilometres east of Laverton in Western Australia.
The scope of work includes the detailed design, procurement and installation of the process plant, administration office, workshop and warehouse, as well as the main water pipelines and powerlines to the borefield.
Engineering has commenced and onsite work is scheduled to start in July 2017. More than 300 personnel will be employed on the project at its peak, with practical completion scheduled for December 2018.
