Civmec delivered a vertical package including earthworks, civil works, SMP (Structural, Mechanical and Piping) installation and electrical on the Nammuldi Below Water Table (NBWT) Project.
The NBWT project was developed to increase the Nammuldi mine’s output capacity from 6 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) to 16 Mtpa and incorporated new mine facilities, process facilities and other infrastructure.
Our experienced civil team mobilised to site in October 2013, commencing the initial earthworks and civil works on the Nammuldi Transfer Pump Station and Nammuldi Train Load Out Vertical Package. Over the course of the NBWT project, we poured around 8,300m3 of concrete.
By September 2014, our workforce numbers peaked with 300 workers mobilised on site. We went on to supply and install 7,800 linear metres of pipework and erect 1,200 tonnes of structural steel before demobilisation in December 2014.
