Civmec was awarded a master service order contract by Technip in Australia for the supply, fabrication and testing of subsea components for Shell’s Prelude Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) development.
The award included four suction piles associated with Technip’s installation activities implemented for Shell’s Prelude FLNG.
Civmec’s scope included the supply, fabrication, assembly, trial lifting and delivery FAS of the suction piles at the Australian Marine Complex (AMC).
The Shell Prelude FLNG Facility will be moored 475km North-North East of Broome in Western Australia in the East Browse Basin. It will be the world’s first FLNG facility. The Shell Prelude FLNG technology allows for production, liquefaction, storage and transfer of LNG at sea, along with the ability to process and export LPG and condensate.
