Civmec was awarded the fabrication of 17 subsea jumper spools and associated lifting equipment for Shell’s Prelude Floating Liquefied Gas (FLNG) Project.
The work was delivered by the oil and gas division from our Henderson heavy engineering facility.
Prelude is a gas condensate accumulation around 475km north-northeast of Broome, discovered by Shell in 2007. To develop the field, Shell is constructing its first FLNG facility. The water depth at the Prelude location is approximately 250m. Once complete, the Prelude FLNG expects to produce 3.6 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of LNG, 1.3 mtpa of condensate and .4 mtpa of LPG for export.
