Civmec has secured three contracts on the South Hedland Power Station for bulk earthworks, site civil works and Structural, Mechanical, Piping and Electrical Instrumentation (SMP&EI).
In January 2015, Civmec was awarded the first contract to perform bulk earthworks at the South Hedland Power Station. Work commenced in April 2015.
This was followed in May 2015 with the award of an additional scope of site civil works.
A third contract was awarded to Civmec by IHI Engineering in October 2015 for the SMP&EI package of works.
On completion, the facility will have a total power generating capacity of approx. 150 MW.
