The visit was a great opportunity to showcase our role in two landmark energy projects.

As part of works underway to optimise Chevron’s Gorgon Carbon Capture and Storage system, CIVMEC have fabricated fully assembled modules including piping, valves, electrical/instrumentation and insulation. These modules will help expand the system’s capacity to manage water found within the reservoir where the carbon dioxide is stored, thereby reducing reservoir pressure and enabling the increased carbon dioxide injection rates.

The Jansz-Io Compression Project; involved fabricating the largest subsea manifold and single mudmat ever made in Western Australia and 9 Subsea Spools. Together these will help maintain the supply of natural gas from the Jansz-Io field to the Gorgon gas processing facilities on Barrow Island.

These projects are highlighting Chevron’s commitment to investing in local content. This collaboration is creating fabrication jobs and once again supporting Western Australia’s highly skilled workforce.
