Our substantial scope of work on the project included structural and piping fabrication, SMP erection, refractory lining, insulation and electrical and instrumentation (EI) installation works.
We also provided rope access services at the site through our maintenance division, delivering an innovative roof jointing solution to the multiple sections of the stockpile dome.
Pre-assembly of numerous modules and assemblies was completed at our Henderson facility before dispatch to site. The team also coordinated logistical planning of free issued vendor equipment for over 185,000m² of offsite laydowns to assist the client and meet schedule demands.
During NAIDOC week 2023, Civmec facilitated a special event at the Covalent Lithium site, with 700 attendees enjoying an engaging presentation by Tony Shaw of Indigenous Services Australia, before a musical performance by the Yabu Band and team lunch.
At the project’s completion, in total, we installed 8,000 tonnes of steel, 80 kilometres of process piping and 600,000 metres of cable. At peak, we had 950 personnel allocated to the project, successfully delivering the refinery without any significant modifications and while maintaining a TRIFR of 1.11.
