Civmec awarded circa AUD$45 million in contracts across various sectors

Civmec has secured circa AUD$45 million in new contracts and additional work on existing projects including packages on the South Hedland Power Station, Shell’s Prelude Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) Project and Alcoa’s Kwinana Filtration Plant. The packages to be delivered are for the following:

IHI Engineering Australia Pty Ltd

Civmec has secured its third contract on the South Hedland Power Station with the recent award of the Structural, Mechanical, Piping and Electrical (SMP&E) package of works. Scope of works includes all SMP&E works for the combined cycle gas power station.

Civmec CEO Pat Tallon said, “We are delighted to secure the SMP&E package from IHI as the award signifies the client’s satisfaction with our performance to date for the delivery of previous contracts. It further demonstrates the market’s confidence in our proven ability to deliver vertical packages of work and marks another significant award for our growing infrastructure division.”

The project will commence immediately. On completion, the facility will have a total power generating capacity of approximately 150 MW.

Technip Oceania

Civmec has been awarded the fabrication of 17 subsea jumper spools and associated lifting equipment for Shell’s Prelude FLNG Project.

Civmec has gained valuable experience through the delivery of spools for another Technip subsea project and will commence work immediately.

The recent award, which adds to the list of contracts Civmec has already secured on the project, will be delivered by the oil and gas division.

Sedgman Limited

Civmec will undertake the assembly of a Mobile Conveyor Bridge, Emergency Radial Stacker and associated components at Alcoa’s Kwinana Filtration Plant, south of Perth.

Delivered by the metals and minerals division, works are scheduled for completion by January 2016. This is the second contract to be awarded from Sedgman on this project with Civmec currently delivering the structural, mechanical, platework and piping installation works.

Brookfield Multiplex

Civmec has been awarded an increased scope on the Perth Stadium project works which are currently underway.

Citic Pacific Mining

A contract was awarded to Civmec for the design, fabrication and installation works for the Sludge Treatment Plant.

Lycopodium

Civmec will undertake the concrete works on the AngloGold Ashanti Australia Limited – Independence Group NL Tropicana Gold Mine.

BP 

Civmec has been awarded the supply and delivery of precast units for the BP Refinery in Kwinana.
