This new, iconic landmark in Perth city opened just before Christmas, with a free twilight community event that gave the people of Perth a chance to see the bridge’s spectacular lighting display.
The Boorloo Bridge consists of two cable-stayed bridges measuring 220 and 270 metres long, linking the Victoria Park foreshore to Heirisson Island and the Perth CBD.
Civmec worked in an integrated alliance on the project. The full scope included architectural and engineering design; fabrication and transportation to site of approximately 2,000 tonnes of complex steel structures; ground preparation, earthworks and piling for approach embankments; in-river works, including piling, pile caps and pylon structures; and structural erection and electrical installation.
