Congratulations are extended to the Civmec team who have recently completed a supply and fabrication contract for the Pluto–Karratha Gas Plant (KGP) Interconnector Project.
The interconnector will transport gas from the Woodside-operated Pluto LNG facility to the North West Shelf Project’s KGP via a five-kilometre pipeline, providing an opportunity to take advantage of future excess capacity at KGP. It also creates potential to accelerate future developments of other offshore Pluto gas reserves, as well as third-party resources.
Civmec’s overall scope of work for the project included the supply, fabrication, surface treatment, assembly, test and delivery of an interconnector module, stair tower module, skids and more than 3.5-kilometres of piping spools. The scope allowed Civmec to demonstrate diversity, depth of skills and capability.
Civmec extends thanks to the Woodside and Worley teams for their support throughout this significant project.
