The ships were consolidated at the Williamstown shipyard in Victoria. The hull blocks were constructed at the the Tomago, New South Wales facility.
Eight ships were built from the first laydown in November 1993 to final commissioning of the last ship in August 2006.
In 2016, Civmec acquired the Forgacs name and their land and assets in Tomago, New South Wales.
