We were absolutely ecstatic to not only meet that target, but exceed it, raising more than $107,000 for the St Vincent de Paul Society and becoming the top fundraising team in WA, as well as the fifth top fundraising team in Australia! The total figure in July 2022 was $109,310.
The event took place on 23 June 2022, with Civmec’s Pat Tallon (CEO), Kristelle Conti (Project Manager – Business Systems) and Daniel Kennedy (Executive General Manager – Maintenance and Capital Works, Resources and Energy) sleeping outdoors on the cold concrete floor of Optus Stadium overnight.
The money raised will go towards providing food, emergency accommodation, and essential services to those experiencing or at risk of homelessness in Australia.
