The contracts involved the construction of a state-of-the-art air separation unit (ASU) to replace an existing ASU, and construction of a nitrogen liquefaction unit.
The civil scope included site clearing; bulk and detailed earthworks; drainage; fabrication, installation and testing of underground piping and site services; fabrication of structural steel; construction of the ASU shed; and acoustic insulation.
The SMP scope included installation of structural steel, process plant equipment, tanks and vessels; fabrication and site installation of ASU cooling water, instrument air and process piping; cryogenic insulation and cladding of vessels and piping; and fabrication and installation of platforms.
Civmec constructed the 12-metre high precast silencer tower in its Henderson facility, with the project team then delivering and installing the tower into position at the plant.
